Phoebe L. Jones
Born and raised in the rural countryside of New Brunswick. Phoebe took her first oil painting lessons with Hank Foster, in Hamilton in 1965. She enjoyed painting for her family and friends. In 1982 she and her husband moved to Diamond Lake near Combermere, Ontario, where she found the beauty of the surrounding Madawaska Valley, and Algonquin Park region overwhelming. The sunsets and sunrises, flowers and birds were all painted in the tranquility of their home on the lake. Phoebe initially painted in both oils and watercolour, but now exclusively paints in watercolour. Her work is collected extensively. |
